Preschool Curriculum

Our Daily Pre- School Schedule focuses on three key elements as a process to set boundaries and expectations:  Explain, Rehearse and Reinforce.

Wee Kids Day Care individually explain our daily school worksheets to each child.  We provide individual tutoring and directions on how the daily school worksheets are done.  We reinforce the school worksheets lessons comprehension though hands on practice.

Explaining in simple, meaningful, and understandable terms; Rehearsing the expectations of the daily school worksheets; and Reinforcing our daily school worksheets comprehension to each individual child through hands on practice; it helps the children understand that expectations should be a part of the learning process in their early learning.  In addition, this learning process also helps the children develop the necessary and much needed skills we see our Pre-Kindergarten students have mastered. Mastering listening and executing directions, are the biggest accomplishment on all of our graduate students.

Wee Kids Day Care students graduate writing, reading simple words, sentences and doing math problems! It is an amazing feeling of accomplishment to see our students write, read and do math problems, before they start Kindergarten!!!

Wee Kids Day Care success depends greatly on our passion to work and teach children learning is fun! Our personalized worksheets for each child allows us to accommodate everyone’s developmental and academic needs. Our guidelines and boundaries are based on appropriate, reasonable, flexible, and understandable expectations as part of the process.

Wee Kids Day Care believes that “The work of a child is to play” and “Children learn best through play.” Our Pre-School Daily Schedule allows children to learn social skills, vocabulary skills, organization skills, and emotional skills to name a few through a combination of structure academic instruction and free play.

Early Childhood

A generation ago, kindergarten was supposed to get kids ready for school. Now… everyone is talking about the importance of “school readiness” before kids get to kindergarten.
Parents anxiously look for their children to succeed in school. Parents want early pre-school education programs to have children sit at tables using work sheets, drills, and flash cards to learn letters and numbers and even starting to read, add, and subtract. However, not all pre-schools programs offer the much needed skills!
Another important factor is “play time”.  Play is essential to early learning. Play is the main way children learn and develop ideas about the world. Play helps children build the skills necessary for critical thinking and leadership. Play is how children learn to solve problems and to feel good about their ability to learn. Children learn the most from play when they have skilled teachers who are well-trained in understanding how play contributes to learning. Most child development experts agree that play is an essential part of a high-quality early learning program. Play is not a break from learning—it’s the way young children learn.
